Chicken Pizza Crust (Carnivore-Friendly)

Ingredients:

  • 3 whole chicken breasts
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce (without added sugar)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup turkey pepperoni (or regular pepperoni)
  • Extra Parmesan for topping (optional)
  • Olive oil or non-stick spray for greasing

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken Crust:

    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
    • In a food processor or chopper, pulse the 3 chicken breasts until finely ground.
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, egg, oregano, garlic powder, basil, salt, and Parmesan cheese. Mix until fully combined.
    • Lay a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet and lightly grease it with olive oil or non-stick spray.
    • Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the parchment paper to form a pizza crust. Try to make it about 1/2-inch thick.
  2. Bake the Chicken Crust:

    • Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until golden and firm.
    • After 20 minutes, carefully flip the crust (you can use a large spatula) and bake for another 20 minutes until both sides are crispy and cooked through.
  3. Assemble the Pizza:

    • Once the crust is done, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce over the top, leaving a small border around the edges.
    • Add a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese, followed by turkey pepperoni, and a little extra mozzarella on top.
    • Sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese on top if desired for an extra cheesy touch.
  4. Bake the Pizza:

    • Place the pizza back in the oven and bake at 400°F (200°C) for another 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Serve and Enjoy:

    • Slice and serve hot, and enjoy your delicious, carnivore-friendly chicken pizza crust! 🍕
